Educational Wargaming at The National WWII Museum

Ever wished to REALLY know why World War II battles turned out the way they did?  Learn the tactical and strategic lessons of the war by joining us for a Weekend Wargame.  Museum staff and volunteers use boardgames and/or miniature figures to represent opposing sides engaged in actual WWII engagements.  The table is set, your armies, fleets or airplanes are in place.  Now it’s up to you!

Our Weekend Wargames were so successful that they spawned an entire weekend devoted to World War II wargaming, Heat of Battle.  Held annually in late August, this event draws games and players from around the country, all recreating World War II battles and campaigns next to real Shermans, 88’s and Spitfires used during “The War That Changed the World”.  A truly unique gaming experience!
